For the first time this season, Watford is preparing for Abdoulaye Doucoure leaving the team. The football player has absolutely maximized his time on the field for Watford’s Premier League season. Doucoure is the first in the squad to have pulled a stunt like that while obtaining the title of the best player for the Hornets alongside Brazilian player Richarlison.
Due to the south coast clash, Doucoure will have to endure a suspension despite picking up a fifth booking of the campaign against Huddersfield. Watford coach Silva has been handing out suspensions and has been robbing himself the opportunity to possess his initial choice for the midfielder after Tom Cleverley missed the defeats to the Terriers.
Silva has expressed the great loss of the team without Abdoulaye Doucoure, but he acknowledges his other options for the position. Etienne Capoue and Ben Watson are just some of the other players Silva has been interested in for the position.
According to Silva, supporting the players and providing solutions to the team’s areas of improvement are important, but of course, having Doucoure in the team makes the team stronger and makes finding solutions less strenuous. Doucoure possesses skills that other players don’t and other players may possess skills Doucoure may not have.
Amex Stadium just needs to give Etienne Capoue a go signal in order to establish a bigger impact on the team from Silva’s management skills. Silva isn’t placing much pressure on Capoue and said “We’ll see what my decision is” translating to the reality that everything he decides isn’t set in stone yet.
